HEALTH ALERT IN NORTHERN SENEGAL
A major outbreak of digestive problems has affected the Louga region in northern Senegal, particularly the town of Kébémer. As of November 6, 548 cases had been recorded, with symptoms including fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Health authorities are investigating food or water poisoning as a possible cause and have launched tests on patients, water, and food. Despite the extensive mobilization of medical resources, no deaths have been reported so far.
