CHINA POSTPONES FILM ABOUT WUHAN LOCKDOWN

In China, the release of the film "Heroes in White," which chronicles the 76-day lockdown of Wuhan at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, has been postponed without official explanation. Made in 2020, the film depicts the daily lives of healthcare workers, patients, and residents confronted with the health crisis. Its theatrical release had already sparked considerable criticism on social media, with some users arguing that the film revived painful memories. This latest postponement reignites questions about the portrayal of the pandemic and its management by Chinese authorities.
